About us

The firm, which has been established in Loughton since the early 1960’s, presently has four partners and employs a further 14 team members, serving businesses and private clients throughout Essex, London and further afield. Our client base includes a diversified range of businesses and private clients and our sector experience is wide-ranging. From a personal tax return to a multi-million turnover company, we are pleased to assist in any way we can and, as Registered Auditors, we are able to undertake audits for those companies and entities that require a statutory audit report.

Above all, the quality of the firm’s relationship with all its clients is paramount. We take a whole-team approach to ensure that a client’s needs are expertly met and that a continuity of service is adhered to.

Brian Jones FCA Brian qualified in 1977 and has been with Cooper Paul since 1976. With over 30 years of experience in private practice, Brian specialises in helping companies to develop their accounting and information systems and is able to offer specialist advice on IT, payroll, audit and corporation tax matters.

Barry Conway FCA Barry qualified in 1975 and has been with Cooper Paul since 1988. Barry has a wide range of experience of helping small and medium-sized businesses, including involvement in all matters relating to clients’ personal tax affairs.

Graham Olliffe FCA ATII Graham qualified as a chartered accountant in 1968 and has been a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, with distinction, since 1967. Graham’s specialist areas include trusts, inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
